Whether you need a whole new site or just a refresh to your existing site, we’re here to make sure your online presence it as optimal as possible. Regardless of the type of business, a website is often the first thing a customer sees. A good website needs all the information a potential customer may need, a way for the customer to convert, and a way to be found.

Even a simple website needs these things. Get the basics right and the rest will follow.

Do I Need a Website Rebuild?

Like a lot of answers to digital marketing questions, the answer is “it depends.” Sometimes an old site is serviceable and can simply do with some UX tweaks. Other times a site just needs some new copy. As technology increases though, sometimes a full rebuild is needed.

We’re not interested in rebuilding a site for the sake of building a site. It may be that a few minor actions will get your site back up to a high standard without the cost of a full rebuild. Talk to us, we’ll let you know the best course of action.

What to Consider When Rebuilding a Website

Before embarking on rebuilding (or just building) a website, consider your wider goals and marketing strategy. It’s easy to go too big or too small with your new project.

Some rebuilds don’t include all aspects to have a high functioning website. We always include:

  • Full sitemap prior to building – this maps out all pages on the site to better define the scope of the build.
  • Copy for all pages included in the sitemap.
  • Stock images and/or product images supplied by client.
  • Basic SEO elements such as proper formatting and site structure.
  • Tracking tags from Google Analytics and applicable social media sites installed and set up.
  • Testing of conversion elements (such as contact pages).

Although our primary focus as an agency is general digital marketing strategies, we pride ourselves on supplying great working websites for smaller businesses. We’ve seen “new” websites without the basic elements, and it can easily blow out the cost to finish things up.
